FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS.

Sharing this photo shoot has been a long time coming. Way back at the end of December I was lucky enough to work with some AMAZINGLY talented people and do a photo shoot unlike anything I've done before. The reason for the delay is that is was accepted to be published on FASHIONISING which is really exciting. They went up today, and I couldn't wait to share them on the blog as well.

The concept behind the shoot was where fashion meets sport (a concept I am very familiar with see previous post hey there, sports fans) but in a more literal and sexy way.
Working with Dan Hilburn was a great experience. A photographer who really knows how to direct and make you really work to get the shots he wants. I will tell you jumping in a graceful and photogenic way is not the simplest task.

Hugh was our styling genius, with assistance from Danny (a good friend of mine). It was really nice to take a step back from everything, have my place in the team and let other people take control to bring the vision to life. Hugh has an edgy approach to fashion which I love and he really has a knack for making things just work. You'll see that for each look he managed to encapsulate one sport and then add touches of unexpected femininity.

Anyway, I shall not delay you any more. The images are way different to anything else that you've seen from me so far so I hope you like them!

SO LATELY HERE AND THERE I'VE MENTIONED SOMETHING ABOUT MY 'NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS'. BUT TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH I'VE NEVER REALLY BEEN THE TYPE. SO INSTEAD THIS YEAR I'VE DECIDED SET CHALLENGES FOR MYSELF THAT ARE MORE A LITTLE TO DO WITH RELATIVELY SHORT-TERM GOALS, BUT ALOT MORE TO DO WITH LIFESTYLE CHANGES. ALLOW ME TO ELABORATE...

SHORT-TERM GOAL: BE A BETTER BLOGGER- MY AIM IS TO FOCUS ON CHALLENGING MYSELF CREATIVELY TO BRING MORE BLOG POSTS TO LIFE AND TAKE PART IN MORE COLLABORATIVE PHOTOSHOOTS.

LIFESTYLE CHANGE: EAT & LIVE CLEAN & GREEN! INSPIRED BY BEAUTY'S SUCH AS ABIGAIL O'NEILL (SEE PREVIOUS POST) AND OTHERS LIKE LONI JANE. I'M EMBARKING ON A RAW DIET. BUT MOSTLY AFTER MY CRAZY YEAR LAST YEAR, I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME TO LOOK AFTER MYSELF. EXERCISE, READ, YOGA, PLAY MUSIC AND ALL THAT JAZZ.

FINALLY THE ESSENCE OF THIS POST IS TO LEARN TO SURF!
I'VE "SURFED" HERE AND THERE OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS, BUT WITH MY FINACE BEING AN ABSOLUTE BEACH BUM (A SOON-TO-BE-DOCTOR BEACH BUM) ITS PRETTY IMPORTANT THAT I FINALLY HAVE A PROPER GO AT IT.   ALSO WITH HIS NEW PLACE MINUTES FROM BEAUTIFUL PORT MACQUARIE BEACHES, I CAN GUARANTEE THERE WILL BE ALOT OF WEEKEND GETAWAYS.

SO HERE'S TO THE NEW YEAR, EVEN IF IT IS MID-FEBRUARY, AND WHAT CHALLENGES IT WILL BRING.

RAW CHOCOLATE VALENTINES LOVE.

Valentines Day. A day for love, chocolate, flowers and all that mushy stuff. So even though this was my first Valentines Day as an engaged women, I decided to spend the day catching up with my crazy beautiful friend, and author of Model Chocolate, Abigail O'neill. I've known her for years, but being 9 hrs apart and both being crazy busy all the time makes it finding time to catch up is difficult.

Abi has always been such an inspiration to me. Not only did she succeed in modelling after having 3 beautiful children, but is now on a mission to share the RAW CACAO LOVE with the rest of the world. She is one of the happiest people I know and has the most amazing talent for creating delicious, healthy food. So making a visit was high on my priority list before I rushed off back to Sydney, to share some laughs and pick up some tips to kickstart my new years/life resolution to eat clean, green and raw.

If you haven't already bought her E-Book you really won't regret it. Not only is it full of amazing, nutritious recipes but inspiring high fashion photographs that are an absolute visual delight.I've got it and I'm hanging out for the hard copy due out this year!

Anyway here is some snapshots of my Valentines Day date with Abi (and my fiancĂ©) at her amazing home where we ate Abi's amazing Salted Caramel covered in delicious raw chocolate (and I danced with her adorably affectionate dog Scruff).
