SHE'S NO LADY...

THIS IS WHERE MASCULINE MEETS FEMININE.

MAYBE ITS JUST ME, BUT THERE IS SOMETHING SO SEXY ABOUT MASCULINE TOUCHES IN AN OUTFIT. THAT SORT OF ANDROGYNOUS LOOK JUXTAPOSED WITH FEMININE DETAILS OF LACE AND EMBELLISHMENT.

IT'S A LOOK THAT ISN'T FOR EVERYONE, AND MAY EVEN SCARE SOME. AND I'M PROBABLY SOUNDING LIKE A BROKEN RECORD, BUT I'M ALL ABOUT STAYING TRUE TO YOUR OWN STYLE- BUT THIS IS A STYLE YOU REALLY DON'T HAVE TO GO ALL OUT ON!

INFACT YOU MAY ALREADY BE (unknowingly) DOING IT - e.g. BOYFRIEND JEANS, BOYFRIEND BLAZERS...RING ANY BELLS?

MORE IDEAS:

1. SIMPLY OPT FOR A SLICKED BACK HAIRSTYLE INSTEAD OF LETTING YOUR LOCKS FLOW LOOSE OR ROCKING A TOP KNOT

2. THROW ON AN OVERSIZED WATCH..
FOR LIKE A YEAR, I'VE BEEN OBSESSED WITH THE AMAZING MICHAEL KORS WATCHES, AND THIS DIVA ROSE GOLD BEAUTY (see below) IS THE NEXT BEST THING. I'VE WORN MY TO DEATH, AND WHETHER I'M DRESSING MORE MASCULINE OR MORE FEMININE, IT ALWAYS ADDS JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF 'BOYFRIEND STYLING'

3. 'SUIT UP' OR SOMETHING OF THE LIKE INSTEAD OF YOUR USUAL DRESS (and watch the compliments roll in)

ANYWAY, TAKE A LOOK AT OUR LATEST PHOTOSHOOT FOR MORE IDEAS.

TROPICANA

I'm not sure if its the fact that I've finally finished uni for the year, or that it's now less than 2 months till I leave for Thailand, but lately I've been obsessed with anything tropicana!
What could feel more like summer than donning palm tree print co-ords and kitsch pineapple accessories?!
Think bright colour, bold prints, graphic florals and fruity goodness!

Ksubi is definitely killing it with their amazing palm print in there latest collection 'Last Resort'. And whats even better is that it comes in t-shirts, singlets, shorts, jeans, dresses and both women's and men's fashion. So there is definitely something for everyone.

The adorable little pineapple ring (collage above), I have been obsessing over for weeks, is by Australian jewellery designer Holly Ryan. It's just too perfectly simple and quirky.
Anyway, hope these photos inspire you and allow you to get lost in tropicana for just a little while...

Outfit 1: A little bit of print clash, a little bit of co-ord. What more could one ask for? These River Island jeans are a more affordable version of the Ksubi amazingness and are still pretty awesome. I paired them with this amazing H&M printed blouse, and these Tony Bianco heels. And I may be a little biased seeing as they do have the same name as me, but these Tony Bianco 'Karissa' heels are one of the loveliest pairs of shoes I have ever laid eyes on! Simple and so sexy!

Outfit 2: A little more colour, a little less print clash (but still a nice amount). Whilst this Altuzarra is amazing, there are definitely some more affordable brands doing really good things - check out trusty ASOS (may be a bit of searching, but you can always stumble across some gems). Also CO. by Cotton On, Dotti and Premonition are doing some really cool prints at the moment. Pair back a printed skirt with a basic singlet for easy-going look, and choose between printed shoes like these River Island flatforms or just a basic sandal depending on how courageous you're feeling.

Outfit 3: This is a much simpler look. I love this lightweight, asymmetrical-hem singlet dress. Take Tropicana out at night with these Tony Bianco seafoam coloured heels and this awesome pineapple clutch from Forever New. The pineapple necklace (another favourite) has varieties available from Topshop and Diva- take your pick, but it's definitely a winner!

Finally, just to make you all a bit little jealous. This is roughly where I'll be sitting, drinking coconut water in pure paradise with my lovely other half, in less than 2 months! Seriously cannot wait!

More photoshoots are on their way.

Until then, thanks for looking!

BEWARE OF THE DOG.

AS I'M SURE MOST OF YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED BY NOW, I HAVE A RELATIVELY BOYISH STYLE. BUT I ALSO LOVE TO ADD SOME FEMININITY INTO MY OUTFITS. I THINK THAT'S WHY I'VE BEEN SO DRAWN TO THE AMAZING JILL SANDER CREATION WHICH PERFECTLY EMBODIES THE BOY MEETS GIRL FASHION TREND (more on that later).

I'VE BEEN OBSESSING OVER THIS JILL SANDER BEANIE (AS MANY HAVE) FOR SO LONG NOW, AND FINALLY WHIPPED UP MY DIY VERSION OF IT. I JUST LOVE THE JUXTAPOSITION BETWEEN THE HOBO-ESQUE BEANIE AND THE LUXE (somewhat sexy) MESH DRAPED OVER THE FACE.

ANYWAY...
I'VE BEEN DOING A FAIR BIT OF ONLINE SHOPPING LATELY, AS A WAY OF UPDATING AND EXPANDING MY WARDROBE WITH SOME STATEMENT PIECES WITHOUT BREAKING THE BANK.  SO HERE ARE A COUPLE OF MY FAVES:

WITH LOVE KIRSTEN HAS A NICE VARIETY OF ACCESSORIES AND CLOTHING TO CHOOSE FROM, AND IS A FANTASTIC WAY TO GET A TASTE OF HIGH FASHION ON A UNI STUDENTS BUDGET (if you're anything like me). THIS GIVENCHY-INSPIRED SINGLET IS SUCH A WINNER FOR ME. I LOVE THE STATEMENT PRINT, WITH JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF BLING AND AN AMAZING OVER-SIZE STYLE WHICH SUITS ME PERFECTLY.

HELLO PARRY IS ANOTHER FAVOURITE OF MINE. THEY HAVE REALLY UNIQUE, ON TREND PIECES THAT ARE REALLY AFFORDABLE. I'VE HAD MY EYE ON THIS MESH LAYER SKIRT FOR AWHILE NOW, AND I'M SO GLAD ITS FINALLY MADE A HOME IN MY WARDROBE.

(ALSO WHO COULD FORGET THE GOOD OLD FAITHFULS ASOS & TOPSHOP)

Love and luck to you all
